We accept applications for fall quarter admission only.

The MST program accepts applications only from individuals whose bachelor’s degree is from an accredited U.S. institution.

A list of helpful hints for completing the online application can be found HERE.

Degree:
Prior to the program start date, an applicant must have completed a baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association.

GPA:
A minimum GPA of 2.5, on a 4-point U.S.A. scale, in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units is required to apply.

Meeting the minimum may not be sufficient to obtain admission. The program is competitive and most successful applicants will have a GPA above 3.0.

Coursework:
Applicants must have completed 8 quarter units (or 6-8 semester credits) in intermediate-level financing accounting, and 4 quarter units (or 3 semester credits) in Federal taxation.

Financial accounting topics must include comprehensive coverage of all financial statements (including the Statement of Cash Flows), current and non-current assets (including intangible assets and investments), current liabilities, time value of money, long-term notes and bonds, stockholders’ equity, and revenue recognition.

The application is completed and submitted via the Cal State Apply web site. A non-refundable fee of $55 (USD) is required.
